Overview

Why Attend

This course offers a comprehensive course of Lean Distribution: Implementing Lean in Distribution, Logistics, and Supply Chain Operations. The course provides an in-depth understanding of Lean principles and application of lean principles in the areas of distribution, logistics, and supply chain operations. It will teach attendees how to streamline operations, minimise waste, and improve their overall efficiency. In addition to key Lean tools and techniques the modules will furnish attendees with the know-how to identify opportunities toward improvement in distribution network and logistics system performance. This course provides a completely new perspective on lean that is based on the customer themselves. Companies that are able to manage variability effectively will gain strategic advantage over the rest in an increasingly volatile marketplace. Comprehensive but concise, this course also highlights the transformation taking place within an increasingly competitive and global supply chain. There will also be coverage of case studies and best practices from successful companies on overcoming the challenges of Lean implementation.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

Objectives:

The objective of this course is to help attendees learn the particular skills and knowledge that will be required to implement lean principles focused on customer value. Hence, it helps the organisations manage variability, increase operational efficiency, and gain a competitive edge in today's dynamic and global supply chain environment. This will also teach the attendees how to reduce process wastes and optimise resources, enabling business success and sustainability. I can also give the attendees knowledge on the application of lean methodology to streamline processes, reduce wastes and improve allocation towards driving business success and sustainability.

Who Should Attend?

Supply Chain Executives
Distribution and Logistics Specialists
Operations Directors and Managers
Warehouse Manager
Trainer and Consultant in Lean Areas
Individuals contributing towards adding value in the improvement of effectiveness and efficiency in logistics or supply chain operations

How will attendees benefit?

After completing the course attendees have following benefits:

Increase Efficiency: Learn how to simplify processes and eradicate superfluous activities in order to achieve smoothness in the flow of goods between supply chains and distribution networks.
Cost Savings: Leverage Lean practices that can result in a cost reduction in operations, waste reduction, inventory optimisation, and improvement of transportation and warehousing systems.
Improve Customer Satisfaction: With appropriate logistics configuration and having reduced lead times, it is possible to give better services to the customers in terms of speed and reliability.
World-Real Knowledge: Pick up knowledge from case studies forged through which successful companies have been able to practice the application of Lean principles effectively in the distribution and logistics sectors.
Practical Tools: Identify discrepancies and create operational solutions using tools. Added value to the organisation through building wealth on lean practices.
