Procurement decisions are only as good as the information behind them. This programme treats supply and purchasing as a decision-making discipline, where needs analysis, supplier evaluation and performance indicators guide every step.
The programme in five stages
Identify the need: what does the organisation actually require?
Plan and specify: how do we describe what we want precisely?
Buy and negotiate: how do we choose a supplier and agree terms?
Supply and receive: how do we check that what arrived matches what was ordered?
Evaluate performance: how do we measure the supplier and improve the next cycle?
Across all five stages the emphasis is on cooperation between departments, on using data to choose better, and on applying quality and improvement ideas so the supply chain stays dependable when markets shift.

Spot the bottlenecks that usually slow the cycle, and remove them
Write terms of reference and technical specifications
Set contract, payment and delivery conditions, and check the legal and regulatory points

Connect departments and suppliers through ERP and SRM systems, with smart reports for decisions
Handle cross-border buying: regulations, customs logistics, international freight and the difficulties of global chains
Assess supply risk, build continuity and contingency plans, and use insurance and preventive contracting
Stage 5 · Evaluate and improve
Question: how do we know it worked, and how do we do better next cycle?
Grow and review the supplier network, manage disputes, and keep supply stable in a crisis
Track key performance indicators with continuous measurement tools, and improve processes from actual results
Apply total quality and international standards such as ISO 20400, and build a culture of excellence
